Clay Allee Campus Major Rehabilitations, Compound Security and Marine Security Guard Quarters (MSGQ) Fit Out, at the U.S. Embassy

Berlin, Germany
In September 2015, Pernix was awarded the $81.6 million dollar contract award for the U.S. Embassy Berlin Clay Allee Campus, including major renovations, campus security upgrade, and a new Marine Security Guard residence.
The site, located in the City of Zehlendorf, was originally constructed in 1937 by the German Luftwaffe prior to WWII, and has historical significance stemming from its use as General Clay’s Berlin Brigade Headquarters during the Berlin Airlift. Following World War II, the building was the headquarters of the U.S. occupation army in Berlin. When the Army demobilized, it became first the U.S. Embassy and then the current Embassy office annex.
Pernix’s scope included historical preservation and sustainability features, as well as new Electrical and Mechanical systems and FEBR windows throughout.
