Boom Supersonic
Overture Superfactory
Greensboro, North Carolina
Boom Supersonic selected Pernix as the Design-Builder for their Overture Superfactory at the Piedmont Triad International (PTI) Airport in Greensboro, North Carolina. Our team partnered with BRPH for design services for the 62-acre greenfield site project. The new 180,000 sf facility consists of a four-station final assembly line, an apron with access to PTI’s nearby taxiway, and a parking area.
The Overture Superfactory will soon be LEED certified and is expected to be at least 40% more energy efficient compared to similar manufacturing facilities. In addition to prioritizing sustainable products, the facility integrates urban heat mitigation materials, high-efficiency LED lighting, and water conservation systems to reduce energy and water consumption.
